We here at Engadget Mobile tend to spend a lot of way too much time poring over the latest FCC filings, be it on the net or directly on the ol’ Federal Communications Commission’s site. Since we couldn’t possibly (want to) cover all the stuff that goes down there, we’ve gathered up all the raw info you may want (but probably don’t need). Enjoy!

HP Virtus – The offspring of the HP/Voodoo team?
Posted by MobiG @ 1:36 pm

Since HP acquired Voodoo we really haven’t seen anything exciting come out of it. HP is still selling the same old PCs, and Voodoo keeps doing what they’re good at. However, this new HP desktop looks like it may have some influence from the guys at Voodoo.

Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphones – They’ll block out sound, for a price
Posted by MobiG @ 12:39 pm

Shure SE110I wouldn’t really call myself an audiophile. I do have a decent ear for good sound, but I don’t require a high-end music system just to keep me happy. I do however, hate crappy headphones, headsets and earphones. If the sound quality is bad that close to my ears, or they are just plain uncomfortable, there’s no way I’m going to use them very long. Shure has announced a new set of earphones that promise to deliver great sound quality and comfort to those that love to listen to music on the go.

AMD K10 Benchmarks – They don’t look good, but there’s still hope
Posted by MobiG @ 12:25 pm

I was always taught that you can’t judge a book by its cover. I’ve learned in recent years that you can’t always judge a piece of hardware by early benchmarks either. However, for those of you that like to know these things as early as possible the first benchmarks of the new AMD K10 have shown up, and they’re not good.

AT&T now offering Motorola RAZR 2 V9
Posted by MobiG @ 11:59 am

What a refreshing change of pace! AT&T actually beat its estimate of “early September” for its variant of the Motorola RAZR 2, the V9 — albeit in a rather bizarre shade, “mahogany” (where we come from, that’s called purple, but whatevs). Though it’s not showing up on AT&T’s online store just yet, it’s showing up for their business “premier” customers (note the screen shot above) and seems to be filtering into brick-and-mortar locations as we write this. The premier site shows a rather shocking off-contract price of $749.99, though with a combination of discounts, rebates, and contracts, it should fall into a far more reasonable price range for pretty much everyone involved. Seriously, $750? Sheesh.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Posted by MobiG @ 11:56 am

I like playing games, in fact I spend a lot of my spare time doing just that. The problem with games is that they cost money. However, if you’ve got an itch for a new game or two, Microsoft might just be able to satisfy you need a little cheaper this weekend.
