DoCoMo announced today a new phone with exceptional features. Of course, it is a 3G FOMA phone, but it has a QVGA display using the same Reality MAX technology than the BRAVIA HD TVs. The phone has a MP3 player with 1GB of memory. Even for this, Sony offers what’s best with VME (Virtual Mobile Engine), and the Stamina mode which allows almost 45 hours of running time in walkman mode. There’s also a 3.2Mpix camera with image stabilizer. The phone measures 50×20x106 and weights 125g.

As I have noticed, while browsing through the concept phones from several leading manufactures, the future cell phones are going to be flat, touch-sensitive, and multi-multi-functional.. They will be over the “pure communicating media”. Maybe cell phones won’t be called “phones” any more?

Motorola ROKR E3
Posted by Gizzie @ 9:55 pm

[photopress:ROKR_E3_front2.jpg,thumb,alignleft] Engadgetmobile.com has set its hands on the new Motorola know by now as Motorola ROKR E3. The first impression is:

.. the ROKR E3 is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset with 512MB of internal memory, Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a TransFlash memory card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and some multimedia software. No iTunes, and that round thing that looks like a scroll wheel is actually just four buttons surrounding a run-of-the-mill joystick. Oh, and the keypad wasn’t very easy to use either.
