Is life nothing but a competition to you? Do you need constant re-assurance that you’re vastly superior to the rest of the human race? While not as uplifting as those ’successories’ prints, this $5 side mirror decal from Etsy seller ‘thelittlepiper‘ will at least give you an air of superiority over those driving behind you, even if you’re all stuck sitting in traffic. Just try and ignore the fact that the person in front of you could have the exact same decal on their mirrors, looking down at you in disgust.

Knokkers – Billiards & Bowling, Together At Last!

By Andrew Liszewski

I’m sure at some point everyone with a pool table has played a game with their hands. You know, by manually rolling the cue ball at your target instead of using a cue stick? Well that’s the only way that Knokkers is designed to be played. But instead of billiard balls it uses bowling balls. And the table? It’s been scaled up 4X its original size, allowing, and requiring, players to stand on it.

The game is the brainchild of Steve Wienecke, a former semi-pro football player and cage fighter, and the first playable version was built in his backyard in Fredericktown, Missouri using loads of railway ties, gravel and of course concrete. The game is played pretty much exactly like standard 8-ball pool, the only real difference is that before your shot you’re allowed to pick up and move the cue ball, though you can’t move your feet once you’ve touched it. Steve is currently working with investors as they design a portable version of the game that doesn’t require a permanent backyard investment, including more durable 6-pound balls that can stand up to the constant collisions experienced during a regular game.

You Can Now Add An Endless Banana Peel To Your Collection Of ‘Endless’ Keychains

The number of ‘endless’ object keychains is almost getting too long to list every time a new one comes out, but fans of the endless chocolate bar, beer can and shipping envelope will no doubt want to make room on their keychains for this latest creation. As its name not-so subtly implies, the Endless Banana Peel lets you enjoy the satisfaction of peeling open a ripe banana again and again and again, without the risk of overdosing on potassium. There’s probably a reason you can get it from Stupid.com though for $8.99, but I can’t quite place my finger on it.

Hey General Mills, you be the first one to actually get something like this on store shelves and I guarantee your Honey Nut Cheerios sales will go through the roof. If only because we’ll buy them all up.

Caoon DSLR MP3 Player & Speaker Knows How To Properly Skirt The Law
Posted by MobiG @ 11:20 am

By Andrew Liszewski

Unlike the makers of that Canon EOS 350D savings bank, the makers of this DSLR-themed speaker and MP3 player don’t have to worry about any legal repercussions from Canon since they’ve cleverly named their device the ‘Caoon’. Even though it’s a perfect replica of one of the company’s DSLRs.

Well perfect except that instead of taking pictures (or storing pocket change) it serves as an external speaker for any device connected to its 3.5mm audio port, or as an MP3 player loading content from an SD card or USB flash drive. The buttons to the left of the display on the back have even been re-appropriated as playback controls, and because it’s a bit more high-tech than that bank, it will set you back $82.99.

Canon DSLR Bank Makes It Easier To Save Up For New Gear

While the prices of entry-level DSLRs have dropped significantly over the years, they’re still not quite an impulse buy. And if photography doesn’t pay your bills you probably don’t already have a camera or lens budget, but saving up for new gear with this DSLR-themed bank should be easy as it helps to keep your eye on the prize. It’s apparently the same size as a real Canon EOS 350D, and the 77mm lens includes a slot on top for accepting coins or well folded paper currency. And instead of taking a hammer to it to make a withdrawal, the lens simply screws off for easy access to its contents. Just keep in mind the bank itself will set your real DSLR savings back $29.90.

It’s not as slick or shiv-able as the CardSharp credit card knife we brought you last week, but if you absolutely have to be able to measure the thickness of something with a reasonable degree of accuracy no matter where you are, you’ll probably want to add this slim micrometer to your wallet toolbox. Made of stainless steel it’s available from the MoMA Store for just $15.95.

Bubble Wrap Backed Ties – Another Office Distraction

Bubble Wrap Backed Ties (Image courtesy MicroWorks Web)
By Andrew Liszewski

You’d think the internet and smartphones would be enough of a distraction for the modern cubicle jockey, but successfully killing 9-to-5 every day is almost a career in and of itself. So today we bring you yet another mindless distraction that should occupy your mind for at least a couple of minutes. This set of black ties are backed with bubble wrap, and if I have to explain why that’s a good thing then you’ve clearly missed out on some important life experiences. Namely popping bubble wrap. Sadly though the ties aren’t actually available for sale, and since they appear to be dated back to 2008, there obviously hasn’t been much demand to make them a reality.

Unless you come from a family of photographers these Photoshop icon salt & pepper shakers are probably a wasted sight gag. But if they really existed I imagine the one place you’d definitely find them would be in the Adobe headquarter’s cafeteria, adding monochromatic noise seasoning to every dish.

Wee Tree LED Air Freshener Festively Hides The Stank In Your Car

Wee Tree LED Air Freshener (Image courtesy Perpetual Kid)
By Andrew Liszewski

It’s hard to find fault with a novelty, light-up, tree-shaped air freshener. But the fact that this one doesn’t actually have any scent at all besides “natural cardboard” is a complete and utter rip-off. Who cares how much good cheer you’re spreading with this hanging from your rear-view mirror when your passengers can still smell the wet dog you rode with last week?

I mean they couldn’t have just splashed a dash of cinnamon on there or something? Christmastime is literally a cornucopia of recognizable smells! I’m not even sure if the random, blinking LEDs make up for this oversight, but since Perpetual Kid is currently sold out of them, I suspect many people were more than happy to pay $7.50 for an air freshener that DOESN’T FRESHEN THE AIR!
